Gift is going to release the 1/8th scale figure rendition of Homura Akemi, a character from the very popular title Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Gift’s signature style is pretty evident in Homura’s face, similar to what they did to Saber’s figure rendition. She looks more matured compared to her original character design. Slated April 2013, ¥9,333.
I’m really looking forward to this interpretation of Homura. Once I saw the sculpt, I became a fan right away. However, I feel the base seems a little off for me. I know it’s suppose to fit the theme of time-shifting, but I wish they would’ve went with another design while keeping the same theme (like maybe an actual clock or something). That’s just me though.
@Baldwin: Same here! There’s something nice about Gift’s style when doing figure renditions of our favorite characters. I think that style is unique to their company. Now I’m curious if ever they do Madoka and what she’ll look like.
