Megahouse is going to release the beautiful 1/8th scale figure rendition of Akira Yamamoto from the anime series, Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 (宇宙戦艦ヤマト２１９９) which is a remake of the original Space Battleship Yamato back in 1974.
The figure looks great and Akira looks really beautiful in this rendition. The figure also comes with optional parts to alter the figure’s overall pose. I personally love the option where she somewhat teases us by unzipping her suit showing her realistically sized breasts.
Figure scheduled August 2013 for ¥8,000.
Nice figure of Akira though I prefer Yuki’s better. :P Akira in the original series was actually a guy. They changed a few male characters gender (and even species) in this series increasing the female cast.
I watched the original Yamato as well the US localization called Star Blazers back in the 80s. I recently watched the first 14 episodes of the remake and it was quite nostalgic. It really brought out what Yamato was all about despite the changes and implementation of modern ideas. They even updated the original musical score. I strongly recommend watching it if you’re fan. Even if you’re not it’s an amazing series.
